Watch the presentation of our four keynote speakers from our series on gender and energy.
The FES Climate and Energy Project in Asia hosted a series of four web discussions on gender and energy from August to October 2020. It was designed for FES country offices and partners working on the energy transition, with in total 80 participants from across the region.
This series sought to provide insights on how a gender lens can be applied to the energy transition and offered a platform for mutual learning and exchange.
In specific, each of the four web discussions addressed one of the multiple dimensions: the relationship between gender and climate change, the relevance of gender in sustainable urbanization, the gendered aspects of energy and the interrelation between a just transition and gender equality.
The event was organized with the support of Silvia Sartori, technical advisor to the ENERGIA International Network on Gender and Sustainable Energy.
